The doors open at 11am and will have handmade crafts, tombola, guess the weight of the cake, raffle, things for the kids to do and lots and lots of homebaking! It’s a day for the whole family and will hopefully help get you into the festive spirit for December.

Our guess the weight of the cake competition is supported by the Sheraton Grand Hotel, where the head chef produced a stunning Christmas Cake for us to use.  The raffle this year has some outstanding prizes including hospitality tickets to Edinburgh Rugby vs Stade Francais, a £100 Slater's voucher, family tickets to the Royal Britannia and Scottish Sea Bird Centre and haircuts at Charlie Miller and Medusa, to name just a few.

Marji one of the volunteers at Maggie’s says: "We thought this was a nice way to give something back to the centre after all the support and comfort we have received over the years we have been coming to Maggie’s."

Marion Taylor, Fundraising Coordinator said, “This is a fantastic event and I hope everyone will come along and support Maggie’s – it’s a great way to start the festive season while raising money for a fantastic cause. The centre relies completely on public donations and I hope the community will come along on the day and show their support in Maggie’s Edinburgh by buying all the delicious homebaking!”
