Trisha Goddard and Rebekah Gibbs visit Maggie's London
Maggie's London played host to two special guests on Tuesday 21 July as our Chief Executive Laura Lee and Patron Sarah Brown invited talk show hostess Trisha Goddard and actress and Daily Mirror correspondent Rebekah Gibbs to visit and see the fantastic work the centre does.
Both Trisha and Rebekah have experienced cancer directly having both been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. Rebekah regularly writes about her experience with cancer and treatment for the Mirror and produces video features, including one on Rebekah's visit to Maggie's London, which can be seen on the Mirror's website.
Trisha and Rebekah both got to meet a relaxation group, talked to benefits advisor Jay Shah and took part in a juicing workshop. Juicing is an excellent method to obtain the best nutritional value from a range of fruit or vegetables and it can provide you with a number of health benefits. Rebekah said: "There are so many different options that you can use… It inspired me to use my juicer again!"
Fantastically both Trisha and Rebekah were so impressed by what they saw that they agreed to play a part in this year's London Night Hike, which is scheduled for Friday 18 September and will help Maggie's to continue to provide anybody affected by cancer with the support they need.
