Partick Thistle Supporters show their support for Maggie’s Centres
The Jags Trust have linked up with Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres to sponsor goalkeeper and coach Craig Hinchcliffe's away jersey for the forthcoming season in a move that will see the Maggie's name in every matchday programme and the charity receiving Hinchy's signed (and hopefully washed!) jersey next May.

In addition Maggie's are asking Thistle fans to join in with their 2009 Life Walk which takes place on 3 October, the date of Partick Thistle’s first home fixture against Airdrie United.
This year's Glasgow Life Walk starts in Kelvingrove Park and winds its way through the West End via the latest site for a new Maggie's centre at Gartnavel, finishing at Maggie’s Glasgow on Dumbarton Road for tea and cakes.
The total route is ten miles and Jags fans will be able to finish the walk, take in the Partick Thistle Centenary exhibition at nearby Kelvingrove and still have time to make their way to Firhill in plenty time for the kick off.
Craig Hinchcliffe, age 37, is Partick Thistle’s goalkeeper and coach, signed from St Mirren in 2007; a respected, seasoned professional whose influence has rubbed off on his protégé Jonny Tuffey. Under 'Hinchy’s' tutelage Tuffey has become a Northern Ireland international.
Tom Hogg of the Jags Trust said: “Following a board meeting on Monday night, everyone was unanimous in their support of Maggie’s. Their Glasgow centre supports thousands of people living with cancer every year, so we are delighted, as supporters of Partick Thistle, to lend our support to them and we hope that Jags fans will take part in Maggie’s Glasgow Life Walk to help people build a life beyond cancer. The walk is ten miles and is for people of all fitness levels and ages.”
Murray Easton from Maggie’s said: “Maggie’s is extremely grateful to The Jags Trust for sponsoring Craig’s shirt under the name of Maggie’s. This ensures that Maggie’s Centres name will be in every match day programme for the season, helping to raise awareness about Maggie’s in Glasgow during a very important period for the charity, as we will be going on site at Gartnavel by the end of 2009 if all goes to plan.”
Easton continued: “We hope that Thistle supporters will join hundreds of others in Maggie’s Glasgow Life Walk on Saturday 3 October to help Maggie’s support people living with, through and beyond cancer.”
