Donna Air to run the BUPA Great North Run for Maggie's

Presenter, actress and author, Donna Air will return to her Newcastle roots in September to run the BUPA Great North Run for Maggie's Centres.

Donna was introduced to Maggie's by her friend, Maggie's patron, Sam Taylor-Wood and is delighted that Maggie's will be building a centre at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.

Donna said; “Running a half marathon was one of my personal goals for this year as I turn 30, and I couldn’t think of anywhere better for me to do it than my home town! Maggie's is such an important charity as we all know someone who has suffered from Cancer. Maggie's still has charity places available, so if you're interested get involved now as registration closes at the end of June. Maggie's make a difference to tens of thousands of people each year and by running for Maggie's you'll be helping to make that difference."

Murray Easton from Maggie's said; "Everyone at Maggie's is thrilled that Donna is taking part in the BUPA Great North Run for Maggie's and we wish her all the best. I'm expecting that her home town crowd will cheer her on every step of the way. The BUPA Great North Run is a truly special event and we still have some charty places left, so if you have every fancied it don't hesitate to get in touch."

Registration for the BUPA Great North Run is £42 and we ask all runners to raise £350.
