Christian Dailly runs the Mens Health Forum 10k in Glasgow for Maggie’s
Maggie’s Dundee patron, former Scotland international, Christian Dailly ran the Mens Health Forum Scotland 10k for Men on Sunday 21st June.

Maggie’s was the official charity for the annual event, with over 10% of the 3,500 runners deciding to raise funds for Maggie’s.
Christian finished a very respectable 38th with a superb time of 37 minutes and 49 seconds. Joining Christian as part of the Maggie’s team was Maggie’s famous kilted runner – Alan Lindsay and Roy Sneddon who has used Maggie’s Edinburgh.
And special mentions have to go to Maggie's Edinburgh Centre Head Andrew Anderson and Grant Yuill from Maggie’s Events team for their fantastic finishing times of 45 minutes and 35 seconds and 44 minutes and 12 seconds respectively.
Christian said; "I really enjoyed taking part in the race today. The atmosphere was great and I was very impressed that so many guys turned up to take part."
Dailly took on the role of Maggie's Centre patron following the death of his father, Dan, 56, from cancer five years ago. His first experience of Maggie's came when he decided he needed to learn more about the disease devastating his family.
"I like to read up and learn as much as I can when I'm faced with a challenge. I believe knowledge is power," he said.
"The great thing about Maggie's is that they cater for individual needs. I needed books but my family used it for counselling, for massage, for a range of things."
Dailly's mother survived cancer 17 years ago, while two close friends are currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia. He added: "Cancer is all around us and Maggie's do so much to alleviate the stress the illness causes for the sufferer and their family."
If you would like to follow in Christian’s footsteps Maggie’s still has places available in the Great North Run.
