Maggie’s Dundee Garden is named a winner at the annual National Landscaping Awards
The Arabella Lennox-Boyd designed garden at Maggie’s Dundee was named a winner in the Landscape Design Excellence Category at the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) awards
The garden, which was opened in June 2009, by Maggie’s President Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, provides a beautiful outdoor space for Maggie’s Centre users and patients at
The outdoor space acts as an amphitheatre-like place for contemplation, with the aim that individuals and families can find both peace and amusement walking through its complex curves and paths. A separate small garden, planted with flowering shrubs and roses, can be used as an additional outside room for patients and their families.

There was a principal winner in this category plus three garden winners, of which Maggie’s Dundee was one. The award was kindly sponsored by Society of Garden Designers.
The evening paid tribute to landscapers and garden designers who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill. There were a range of awards including, Domestic Garden Scheme’s divided into different categories depending upon cost; soft landscaping; hard landscaping; maintenance and many more.
