Lung Cancer Support Sessions
Have you, or anyone close to you, been affected by a diagnosis of lung cancer?
In association with NHS Lanarkshire’s Lung Cancer Nurse Specialists, Maggie's Lanarkshire hosts regular information and support sessions for anyone affected by lung cancer. People attending the sessions have said:
"It's important families and carers can come along for support and advice and I would say this is a much needed service."
"The Maggie's centre is very nice and I feel very much at home. It's good to be able to come in and speak with other people who are in similar situations".
On Wednesday 14 April 2010, from 2-4pm, there will be an open afternoon for anyone interested in joining the sessions or finding out more. The sessions themselves will be monthly from May.
Maggie's Lanarkshire is a homely, welcoming place where people with cancer, their family and friends can receive the support they need. Maggie's is open for people to drop-in for information, emotional and psychological support and to develop skills that might help them to live more positively with their cancer.
If you are interested in coming along to the open afternoon or to book into a session, please call Maggie's Lanarkshire on 01698 358 392 or email lanarkshire@maggiescentres.org.
